Our shoot "Luxe It Up" features Sam and Marco and was photographed at Peter's Hill, London.

Luxe It Up is about making Sports Luxe more accessible in terms of interpretation and application. At the same time, the main aim is to keep that distinct and powerful blend of formality and modern -futuristic sport focussed design. Most of the components of each look are from River Island's Spring Summer 2015 Menswear Collection, #SS15 #spiritofsummer. Special elements added to the looks to make things even more interesting include formal tassel loafers, very modern premium sneakers (trainers) and a few military details. The bomber jackets testify for themselves. Amen to that. Not a pattern or floral in sight. Lets do Spring / Summer another way.  Most men could wear these. Most men should wear these.

Buying premium and luxury products allow us to purchase special craftsmanship, radical attention to detail, well sourced materials and authenticity. We are also paying for the delicious audacity of the designers and makers to continue to do what they are doing. So far, so good. Though, often, by the time the finished product passes through the various middle men and handlers (sometimes, quite literally) we are paying price mark-up upon mark-up. What's the real price that also allows a decent profit? What exactly are we paying for? How much do the craftsmen, craftswomen and artisans actually receive in all of this? How much?

I like Oppermann London's approach. The leather goods brand's primary focus is on producing Grade A premium and luxury products. Applying swedish minimalist design and using the best leathers, the products are hand-crafted in leading factories in Italy and Europe. Then, with German precision, from their London base, the brothers Mattis and Niklas Oppermann sell directly to customers via their website www.oppermann-london.com. No retail mark-up. No large department store and bright retail lighting. To increase access to the product range, it is now possible to arrange a visit to Library London, the private members club on St Martin's Lane to experience the products at first hand, before you buy. Premium and luxury products at smart and transparent prices, direct to you. A good idea, whose time has come. I asked the brothers how they sum up their approach. It is simple, they say, luxury leather goods without the retail mark-up.

River Island has responded to the demand for personal styling services on the High Street with its River Island Style Studio. The service is available in its London Oxford Street: Park House Store and at Birmingham Bullring. Access to the stylists is free and by appointment only and is available to both men and women. It is a growing hit on Instagram with regular style updates and #ootd looks.

Why is this special?
1. The ultra modern studio is light and bright with plenty of wow factor. Living room of your dreams.
2. The drinks cabinet (or wall) is well stocked and is very Las Vegas. We all love Las Vegas!
3. The space is technology rich with Apple hardware and the latest interactive mirror technology.
4. You get access to all of River Island's fashion and can discover real gems and limited editions.
5. The stylists make the place: Giles Farnham and Nadyia Dunston are charm and A-Game bottled.
